Description
Spectacular 1955 Doubled Die Lincoln Cent, MS62 Brown
1955 1C Doubled Die Obverse MS62 Brown PCGS. FS-101, formerly FS-021.8. This issue is one of the most famous doubled die varieties of all time, and deservedly so. The obverse doubling on the date and letters is truly spectacular. This piece shows original red-orange mint luster near the devices, while the fields have browned somewhat. Individual contact marks are noticeable, respectively, in the right obverse field and on the T in CENT. (Registry values: N991)Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 2825, Greysheet# 2165)
