Description

Delightful 1866 Motto Dollar, PR63

1866 $1 Motto PR63 ANACS. Gunmetal-gray toning envelops the surfaces, which are remarkably clean for the grade. Although the deep patina partially obscures the reflectivity, there are still flashes of luster under a lamp. This fully struck piece is a lovely representative of the first With Motto Liberty Seated dollar. A mere 725 proofs were struck, along with a business strike mintage of just 48,900 pieces.(Registry values: N2998)
