MS63 1867 Rays Nickel With Indented Reverse
1867 5C Rays Shield Nickel--99% Indented Reverse--MS63 PCGS. The obverse is normal aside from a softly struck area near the base of the shield. The reverse has a depression where it was indented by a planchet (not included). The upper reverse, where the depression is absent or partial, shows extremely faint reverse design elements, including a ray beneath the second T in STATES, where the reverse die managed to partly penetrate the obstruction.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22NY, PCGS# 3791, Greysheet# 2869)
