Outstanding MS68 Full Bands 1939-S Dime
1939-S 10C MS68 Full Bands NGC. The 1939-S is a scarcer issue among the later issues in the Mercury dime series. Only 10.5 million pieces were struck and very few Uncirculated examples were set aside at the time of issue. This piece is tied with other (a PCGS coin) as finest certified (10/06). The surfaces of this piece are essentially flawless. We see no interruptions in the flow of the bright mint luster that is seen on each side. A few tiny aqua and tan freckles grace each side.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23JT, PCGS# 5021, Greysheet# 4598)
