Description

First Modern Offering of the 1883-H Specimen 25 Cents

Victoria Specimen 25 Cents 1883-H SP67 PCGS, Heaton mint, KM5. An archive-quality example of this almost unheard of specimen issue, missing from the likes of Pittman, Norweb, Belzberg, Canadiana and Prager, with a medley of satisfying intermingled green, yellow, blue and gold tone over both sides that fully envelopes the obverse and allows for a touch of underlying silvery coloration in the reflective reverse centers. One of only two examples graded, both SP67 by PCGS, with neither showing up in modern classic sales of Canadian coinage. Thusly, potentially a once-in-a-generation chance to own what can be deemed not only a great rarity, but also a classic beauty.
