Rare 1878 Prooflike Gem Morgan
7/8 Tailfeather Strong Reverse
1878 7/8TF $1 Strong MS65 Prooflike PCGS. VAM-40. Five
tailfeather tips emerge beneath the prominent seven tailfeathers.
This lustrous and boldly struck Gem is brilliant save for a wisp of
lemon-gold toning along the upper right obverse margin. A trace of
a fingerprint fragment above the eagle is unimportant. Encapsulated
in a prior generation PCGS holder, with a pale green label.
