Very Scarce Noe-20, Salmon 2-B
1652 6PENCE Oak Tree Sixpence, IN on Obverse AU50 NGC.
Noe-20, Salmon 2-B, R.6. 33.8 gn. The Noe-20 is one of three
die states featuring the word IN on the obverse. The weak, but
correctly oriented first S of MASACHVSETS is diagnostic. This was
later recut backwards, then recut again correctly. This is an
attractive piece with intense slate-gray toning. Both sides are
well-centered for the issue, with slight obverse displacement
toward 3 o'clock (instead of 12 o'clock, as usually seen). Listed
