Description

Haile Selassie I gold "Coronation" Medal EE 1923 (1930) MS61 NGC, Addis Ababa mint, KMX-12a, Gill-S13. 27.37gm. Impressive in hand with the jeweled bust and crown struck in spectacularly high relief. A slight orange peel tone flitters across the fields at the turn of the wrist while the gentle signs of handling offer little to distract the splendid views. The rim might contain tiny filing marks based on a previous description of the coin though we cannot confirm this finding.
