Description

Alexander I gold 10 Roubles 1804 CПБ-XЛ VF35 NGC, St. Petersburg mint, KM-C133, Fr-146, Bit-5 (R1). A thoroughly pleasing example of a type we've only handled a single time before, nearly 15 years prior, with the vast majority of those currently extant in comparable conditions. A truly seldom-seen emission from Alexander's prolific reign and one that consistently sees moderate to heavy use in commerce, yet seen here after having been plucked from circulation by a discerning collector. Tinged with a burnt sienna aura that elevates the visual character of this unlikely survivor, remaining an appreciable and elusive monetary relic.
