Description

1916-D Mercury Dime, AU55 Full Bands
Significant Luster Remains

1916-D 10C AU55 Full Bands PCGS. High-grade 1916-D Mercury dimes, especially those in the range from Very Fine to Choice AU, are scarce indeed, seen far less often than the ubiquitous AG to Very Good examples that prevail in the market. This powder-gray AU55 coin is accented with bluish and green tinges and retains most of its essential mint luster. The bands are separated throughout, a feature that will be of interest to the Full Bands collector who doesn't want to spring for an Uncirculated piece. The only singular contact is a linear scrape from near the nose to the lower headband on the obverse.
