Description
1797 1/2 C Plain Edge, C-2, B-2, R.3, VG10 PCGS. The characteristic die crack on the reverse of all examples of this die marriage is mostly obscured on this piece by moderate wear, though most legends remain readable. The obverse displays considerably more strength, with nearly complete denticles and boldly outlined design elements. Chocolate-brown patina covers smooth surfaces on this pleasing lower-grade representative. Our EAC grade Good 6.(Registry values: P6)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2228, PCGS# 1036, Greysheet# 456)
