Description

1841 1C N-7, R.2, MS65 Brown NGC. Grellman Die State a. Glossy, medium-brown surfaces display Mint red undertones throughout both sides. This lustrous example is sharply struck at the centers, although a few of the stars lack central definition as usual for the N-7 variety. Lumps beneath 1 and 4 in the date are visible but blurry, an intermediate die stage between die states a and b. This pleasing cent shows only a few microscopic carbon flecks. Our EAC grade MS60.
