Description

1922-D Cent, MS65+ Red
Better Branch Issue

1922-D 1C MS65+ Red PCGS. The 1922-D is a lower mintage issue struck at a time when the Federal mints concentrated on silver dollar production. MS65+ Red examples are important conditional rarities, since PCGS (as of 10/22) has graded only 21 pieces as such, with only 24 coins finer. This lustrous orange-red Gem is smooth save for a slender diagonal mark on the forehead. Close inspection shows minor carbon, but the eye appeal is nonetheless formidable.(Registry values: N1793)
