Description

1835 JR-3 Dime, MS63+
Sharply Detailed Example

1835 10C JR-3, R.2, MS63+ PCGS. CAC. A Script 8 in the date and the positioning of the D in UNITED relative to the scroll confirm the JR-3 attribution. Along with JR-1 and JR-2, this represents the first time the Script 8 style was employed for use on dimes. The lightly marked surfaces exhibit hints of pale greenish-gray patina and radiate shimmering mint frost, illuminating devices that show a near-full strike. Free of mentionable marks, the high quality within the grade is confirmed by CAC.
