Colorful Original Patina
1865 2C PR66 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. This is a sharp Red
and Brown proof, showing underlying copper-gold and red hues
beneath violet, olive, and chestnut toning. The strike is sharp,
and the devices are frosty. Red and Brown proofs are scarce this
fine and rare with CAC endorsement. Red 1865 proofs in this numeric
grade are also rare. Population: 23 in 66 (1 in 66+) Red and Brown,
