Tied for Finest Certified
1943 1C MS68 PCGS. CAC. A well struck and mark-free example
of this high mintage but conditionally elusive type. A couple of
interesting areas of prooflike surface, as made, are above the O in
ONE and east of the E in ONE. Pristine aside from pinpoint carbon
near the F in OF. Population: 47 in 68, none finer (9/13).Ex: Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 5/2003), lot 5409; Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 2/2005), lot 5544; Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 5/2009), lot 195.
