Al-Hassan II gold Specimen Pattern 5 Dirhams AH1384 (1965) SP63 NGC, Paris mint, cf. KM-Y57 (standard issue in silver). 20.44gm. A very rare Pattern or Essai in gold. An attractive Specimen produced on a pale gold flan, with appreciable depth to the flashy open expanses. A quick survey to public auctions reveals two known examples: this coin, and another piece sold in Switzerland in 2014, realizing approximately $13,400 plus buyer's premium.
