Description
Charles IV gold 4 Escudos 1798/7 Mo-FM XF40 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM144, cf. Cal-218 (unlisted overdate). With slightly more high-point wear than the previous lot, as expected for the assigned grade, with incipient orange-hued toning. The clear overdate, albeit unlisted in Calico, is in fact common. Scarce and quite collectible in this preservation. From The Rudman Collection of Mexican Coins
