Description

1936 Quarter, PR67
Tied for Finest Certified

1936 25C PR67 NGC. This first (and scarcest) proof Washington quarter issue is typically without contrast and fully mirrored on the devices as well as throughout the fields. The present lightly patinated example fits the mold, with an absence of mint frost and rim-to-rim reflective surfaces. A faint blush of russet toning does little to hide the silver-mirrored flash, but confirms the originality of this Superb Gem proof. Census: 25 in 67 (1 in 67 ), 0 finer (10/15).(Registry values: N1793)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 27HN, PCGS# 5975, Greysheet# 5847)

Weight: 6.25 grams
