Description

Reddish Tinged MS66 1910 Ten Dollar

1910 $10 MS66 PCGS. The 1910 is one of the more available P-mint tens in the ten Indian series. The mintage was a substantial 318,500 pieces and numerous Uncirculated examples were set aside. This issue is available in grades up to and including MS67 (although in very small numbers), and the finest coins known are graded MS68. There are three occurrences of the 1910 in this ultimate grade, but one has to suspect at least one of these grading occurrences is a resubmission. As with all the coins in the Kutasi Collection, this piece is upper end for the grade, even for an MS66, and the color is fantastic. Both sides are covered with a layer of warm rose-gold patina with an accent of lilac over the eagle on the reverse. Sharply defined throughout, the matte-like surfaces show no obvious marks to the unaided eye.
