Victoria Proof "Gothic" Crown 1847 AU Details (Cleaned) NGC, KM744, S-3883, ESC-2571. UN DECIMO edge. An affordable example of a type we've seen rise in popularity significantly in recent years, especially now with the Royal Mint's "Great Engravers" series, highlighting both obverse and reverse designs of this icon of British numismatics. While clearly having been cleaned evidenced by ample hairlines, these are gently obscured by a matte-like argent patina having developed throughout. Regardless of conditional qualifier, these "Gothic" types are always contested and will doubtlessly be met with fervent bidder enthusiasm.Metal: Silver
