Pleasing MS62 Brown 1787 Fugio Cent
1787 1C Fugio Cent, STATES UNITED, Cinquefoils--Clip--MS62 Brown ANACS. Newman 13-X, R.1. The vertical die crack at 6 o'clock on the reverse, and the clash marks from the chain links along the obverse margin, help to confirm this popular Bank of New York hoard variety. This MS62 example displays hints of underlying red. Well centered design elements are nicely defined. A small planchet clip is located between 10 and 11 o'clock (referenced to the obverse), and a planchet flaw occurs at 10 o'clock on the reverse.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2B8E, PCGS# 883, Greysheet# 186)
