SICULO-PUNIC. Sicily. Ca. 300-289 BC. AR tetradrachm (26mm, 16.92 gm, 4h). NGC Choice AU★ 5/5 - 5/5, Fine Style. Head of young Heracles right, wearing lion skin headdress, paws tied before neck; dotted border / 'MHMHNT (Punic for People of the Camp), head and neck of horse left; palm tree with two clusters of dates behind, dotted border. Jenkins 273-277, 279-281, 283-294, and 296-324. HGC 2, 293. Solidly struck from gorgeous, sharp, high-relief dies.
