Description

Dutch Colony. Wilhelmina gold Specimen Restrike 2-1/2 Cents 1945 SP67 PCGS, KM-Pn34. A very rare off-metal strike issue based on the original design for the date produced by the United States at the Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco mints, which is speculated to have been struck in gold in the Netherlands sometime after 1945. Countermarked with a small serial number 5 after the E in INDIE, the piece at hand evinces a bright gold color punctuated by fully Proof fields beaming with reflectivity.
