1830 $2 1/2 --Altered Surfaces--ANACS. AU55 Details. BD-1, R.4. The only variety for the year and a very scarce issue in any grade. This well-defined piece has strong overall detail, though the yellow-gold and orange-gold surfaces exhibit unnatural luster and a degree of porosity. Still, an eminently collectible survivor of this Capped Bust Left quarter eagle issue.(Registry values: P4)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# BFW8, PCGS# 7670, Greysheet# 8228)
