Description

1864 2C Large Motto PR66 Red and Brown PCGS. The first year of two cent piece production saw two major varieties known as the Small Motto and Large Motto types. The Small Motto coins were struck first, followed by these Large Motto coins. This Premium Gem proof has areas of brilliant orange mint color with considerable violet, blue, and green toning on each side. Population: 15 in 66 Red and Brown, 1 finer (2/25).(Registry values: N1793)
