1918/7-D Buffalo Nickel, AU Details
Impressively Appealing
1918/7-D 5C FS-101 -- Cleaned -- NGC Details. AU. The
1918/7-D Buffalo nickel is one of the three major Guide Book
varieties in the series and a top acquisition for advanced series
collectors. This AU-level piece displays satiny, lightly cleaned
luster with muted golden toning. There are no obvious abrasions,
and eye appeal is remarkably strong for a Details-graded piece.
Moderate strike softness is seen as usual on the hair above the
braid and on the bison's head and shoulder, but actual wear is
virtually nonexistent.
