Description
1889-CC Morgan Dollar
MS62 Prooflike
Glimmering Fields
1889-CC $1 MS62 Prooflike PCGS. VAM-3. Ex: Desert Find. This
brilliant coin might be called a cameo piece just by the reverse,
though the obverse is slightly less contrasted even though the
depth of mirroring in the fields is distinct. Frosty luster
illuminates the sharp design elements, and only light abrasions in
the left obverse field and on Liberty's cheek limit the grade.
Given the coin has not yet been reviewed by CAC for quality within
the grade, the eye appeal cannot be ignored.Another early die state piece from the VAM-3 marriage, this coin displays myriad faint die polish lines in portions of the fields and no obvious cracks. Additionally, all die markers for the variety are clear. Prooflike 1889-CC Morgans in MS62 or better grades are scarce, the Desert Find coins in these grades representing a significant discovery in terms of what advanced collectors are searching for.(Registry values: P9, N4719)
