Description

1909 Two and a Half, MS64
Attractive Better Date

1909 $2 1/2 MS64 PCGS. From a mintage of 441,760 pieces, the 1909 Indian quarter eagle can be found in grades up to MS64 without much difficulty, though finer examples are uncommon. Compared to the 1908 issue, the 1909 coin is scarcer in high grades. The eagle's plumage and headdress feathers on this piece are notably sharp, complemented by satiny luster. The coin exhibits minimal abrasions and is adorned with a warm honey-gold patina.
