Description
1909 Two and a Half, MS64
Attractive Better Date
1909 $2 1/2 MS64 PCGS. From a mintage of 441,760 pieces, the
1909 Indian quarter eagle can be found in grades up to MS64 without
much difficulty, though finer examples are uncommon. Compared to
the 1908 issue, the 1909 coin is scarcer in high grades. The
eagle's plumage and headdress feathers on this piece are notably
sharp, complemented by satiny luster. The coin exhibits minimal
abrasions and is adorned with a warm honey-gold patina.
Note for clients in the European Union: This lot is considered by the European Union to be “investment gold”. We believe that it meets the criteria established in Article 344(1), point (2) of Council Directive 2006/112/EC and thus should be exempt from import VAT regardless of the selling price. Any questions or concerns about VAT should be addressed to your accountant or local tax authority.
