Description

1884 Liberty Nickel, MS67
Top-Grade Semikey Coin

1884 5C MS67 PCGS. While "rainbow" is a vastly overused adjective in cyberspace, it is entirely appropriate here, as concentric toning envelops both sides in gorgeous shades of violet, amber, orange, and pale blue. A sharp strike and lack of contact marks will not go unmentioned. There is a meandering die crack on the reverse from the bottom rim through E in CENTS, the V denomination, and up to the A in STATES that actually gives this piece even more cachet, if possible. In the MS67 grade level, the 1884 and 1885 are neck-and-neck in the PCGS populations: seven for the 1884, six for the 1885, none finer for either one (8/20).(Registry values: N2998)
