Republic gold Specimen "Department of Agriculture & Trade" Medal 1879 SP64 PCGS, 40mm. 57.36gm. By Barre. Struck to a weight of 16 Ducats. A resplendent example of this seldom-seen Medal, struck for presentation by the Department of Agriculture and Trade to Mr. Baudoin for the layout of his pig shop. Abundant mint flash and polish resides across the expanses, framing the script reverse and high relief portrait of Marianne to the obverse. Accompanied by the original box.
