Scarce Type Two Issue

1857 3CS MS65 PCGS. CAC. The Type Two three cent silver pieces, minted from 1854 to 1858, are far scarcer than either the earlier Type One or later Type Three coins. Prominent clash marks are noted on both sides of this boldly detailed Gem, with frosty silver luster that shines through attractive light gold toning. Population: 29 in 65, 7 finer (7/13).
