1795 1C Plain Edge, S-78, B-8, R.1, VF25 PCGS. Breen Die State IV. This medium brown Liberty Cap cent is evenly struck aside from the N in UNITED, which is entirely absent. Swelling on the right obverse field weakens the central letters in AMERICA. The surfaces are smooth and problem-free. A popular Sheldon variety for early copper type set collectors. Our EAC grade Fine 15.Ex: ANA Signature (Heritage, 3/2011), lot 3031, which realized $1,725.
