Description
1773 1/2 P Virginia Halfpenny, No Period MS63 Brown PCGS. N. 6-X, W-1610, R.3. Eight harpstrings. This smooth chocolate-brown halfpenny is void of significant marks. The strike is a touch incomplete on the center of the shield but most other design details are clear. The sole exception is the left leg of the standing lion. Listed on page 57 of the 2019 Guide Book.Ex: Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 9/2005), lot 138.
