Description

Republic gold Essai 100 Francs 1929 MS64 NGC, Paris mint, KM-E59, Maz-2542, Gadoury-1146. A gorgeous gold Essai rendition, distinguished by the notable oak tree reverse design that divides the date, a motif not often seen on French coinage. Though this excellent pattern type can be located in other metals, the gold format is obviously the most desirable, and arguably the most beautiful. Struck with precision, this example boasts ample die-polish and attractive depth to the fields that helps create a powerfully brilliant visual experience. A rare offering, and one that our firm hasn't handled since 2010.

Metal: Gold
Diameter: 21mm
