French Colony Proof Piastre 1900-A PR63 PCGS, Paris mint, KM5a.1, Lec-283, Gad-35. Mintage: 100. A beloved Crown-sized "Trade" issue of French flavor, gloriously presented here as a dramatic, low-mintage Proof. Inarguably of Proof quality, every detail of the "Seated Liberty" design displays complete, and when seemingly floating above the steely relief, it appears as if the frosted motifs are nearly jumping off the coin. Lightly hairlined fields limit the grade to Choice but the multitudes of die-polish lines also evident help balance any potential distraction.
