Description

1921-S Nickel, MS64
CAC Seal, Old Holder

1921-S 5C MS64 PCGS. CAC. San Francisco silver dollar mintages peaked in 1921, to the detriment of the production of other denominations. The 1921-S mintage is only 1,557,000 pieces, and the issue is highly desirable in Choice Mint State. This lustrous and nicely struck example displays a hint of olive-green, straw-gold, and gunmetal toning. Exceptionally nice despite a tiny fleck beneath the U in UNITED. Certified in an old green label holder. CAC: 17 in 64, 12 finer (5/18).(Registry values: N2998)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22RU, PCGS# 3948, Greysheet# 3122)

Weight: 5.00 grams

Metal: 75% Copper, 25% Nickel
