Description

1923-S 5C MS64 PCGS. CAC. This date usually comes weakly struck, especially on the reverse, as a result of overextended die use. The present coin is an exception. The design elements are sharp, particularly on the peripheral elements. Only on the bison's head is some of the hair detail soft. Similar softness is noted on the tip of the tail, but the horn is strong. Lustrous surfaces are visited by wispy golden-brown patina. The only marks discernible on this near-Gem are a few ticks on the Indian's cheek and the bison's midsection.
