1855 1C Upright 55, N-4, R.1, MS65 Red PCGS. Grellman Die State a. Although Bob Grellman records seven die states for the 1855 N-4 cents, the majority of surviving examples are in this earliest die state without reverse die cracks. Most high grade survivors are from a hoard of Mint State pieces. This example has brilliant orange mint surfaces and excellent eye appeal. Population: 3 in 65 (1 in 65+) Red, 2 finer (6/23).
