Description

1908-S Indian Cent, MS66 Red
Inaugural Branch Mint Coinage

1908-S 1C MS66 Red PCGS. The 1908-S Indian cent is the first minor coin issue struck by a mint facility other than Philadelphia, excluding the 1851-O three cent silver piece which has a 75% silver alloy. The San Francisco Mint produced slightly more than 1.1 million Indian cents in 1908, marking the lowest mintage in the series since 1877.
