Details. No other issue in the Indian Head series is the
subject of as much demand as the singular 1877 key date. This
example has the sharpness of an Uncirculated coin. Red color and
soft mint luster remain within the recesses. However, evidence of
surface alteration appears mainly in the obverse fields.
