Description
1849 H10C Repunched Date, V-2, FS-302, MS65 NGC. The 9 is struck over a secondary numeral (presumably an 8, although the Guide Book calls it a 6). The 1 in the date is directly beneath the shield point. The date exhibits thin numerals, as opposed to other overdates that have thicker digits. Rich, reddish-gold toning with blue overtones covers both sides of this sharply struck Gem example.Coin Index Numbers: (Variety PCGS# 145432, Base PCGS# 4343)
