1832 JR-5 Capped Bust Dime, Toned MS65

1832 10C JR-5, R.2, MS65 NGC. Star 1 points to the bust, and the second T in STATES is over RI in PLURIBUS. The reported mintage for the 1832 is 522,500 pieces, of which several thousand survive. However, the date becomes rare at this high grade level. Beautifully toned and softly lustrous surfaces showcase lavender-gray centers with vibrant shades of fire-orange and magenta within the recesses of the devices. Well-struck with rust lumps over the obverse and spindly die cracks on each side. Census: 9 in 65, 5 finer (7/19).
