1936 50C Elgin MS68 PCGS. The 20,000-coin distribution of
the Elgin, Illinois centennial half dollar mirrored that of the
Lynchburg, Virginia sesquicentennial halves also issued in 1936.
Examples are widely collectible through most grades, but not in
MS68, where the Elgin commemorative becomes a significant condition
rarity. Typical shades of golden-orange, crimson, and rose adorn
this Registry-worthy Superb Gem. Remarkably clean. Population: 8 in
