Pedro II silver "Coronation" Medal 1841 UNC Details (Edge Repair) NGC, Fonrobert-8670, Meili-20, VC-34. 60mm. 84.26gm. By Azevedo. Struck upon Pedro's coronation at the age of 16. An elusive and colorful example of this popular coronation type, depicting Pedro's crowning by the Indians, in the guise of the Genius of Brazil. Rarely encountered in silver, with a pleasing iridescent envelope tone bathed over the fields.
