1805 B-3 Quarter, XF40
Problem-Free Early Type Coin
1805 25C B-3, R.1, XF40 NGC. Tompkins Die State 5/2 with
clash marks and die cracks. This is a dusky gunmetal-gray B-3
representative that displays luster within the curls, wings, and
shield. Sun-gold accents glimmer at the margins. The upper reverse
stars are lightly impressed, but the overall strike is good. The
coin is smooth for the grade and we can mention only a thin mark
southwest of the T in LIBERTY.Ex: FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2008), lot 1086; August Signature (Heritage, 8/2022), lot 4439.
