1935/34 50C Boone MS68 NGC. After the initial success of the
1934 Boone half dollar, the commemorative celebration continued
(after Congressional legislation) by placing 1934 above PIONEER
YEAR on the reverse, and 10,000 coins were struck in the
Philadelphia mint. This near-perfect example is tied with seven
others at both services combined for finest known. The surfaces are
smooth and softly lustrous with an even layer of light gray and
blue toning. Exceptional quality. Census: 4 in 68, 0 finer
