1843-O $5 Large Letters AU58 NGC. Variety 1. Although more available than its Small Letters counterpart, the 1843-O Large Letters is a scarce issue with a Guide Book mintage of only 82,000 pieces. This Borderline Uncirculated example displays bright luster throughout the eagle and Liberty's curls. The strike is shy of complete at the centers, but the butter-gold surfaces are without any distracting marks. Census: 34 in 58, 26 finer (2/24).(Registry values: P7)
