Description

1916 Walking Liberty Half Dollar, MS66
Few Finer Pieces Are Known

1916 50C MS66 PCGS. CAC. A conditionally scarce Premium Gem example of this first-year Philadelphia issue, showing ivory luster and frosty surfaces. Daubs of olive-gold and amber toning around the borders attest to the originality of the patina. Moderate thumb separation is evident on Liberty's branch hand, and the strike is boldly rendered elsewhere as well. Highly sought after in this grade with CAC approval. CAC: 34 in 66, 4 finer (4/21).(Registry values: N1793)
