Multicolor 1823 Half, MS64
Popular O-112 Tall 3 Variety
1823 50C MS64 NGC. O-112, R.1. Iridescent ocean-blue and
lime-green borders encompass the gunmetal, peach, and lilac
centers. Luster is especially intense at the peripheries. The
surfaces appear unmarked aside from inconspicuous abrasions beneath
Liberty's chin and behind the eagle's head. O-112 is known as the
Tall 3 variety, and the present coin would be tied for third place
for the die pairing within Stephen J. Herrman's Autumn 2011
